Glo Fiber, with its presence, although limited, but known to deliver fast internet to homes, which is why is increasing in demand. It offers good download speed compared to most internet providers in the same locations. There are a few extra perks too, like unlimited data and rent-free equipment.
So, should you subscribe to them? Let’s find that out!

Glo Fiber User Reviews
I asked my email subscribers if they use Glo Fiber and to share their feedback. Here’s what four of them had to say:
I stay in Lancaster, and last year, I got Glo Fiber internet and TV service at our home, and the overall experience has been satisfactory. Be it speed, latency, or reliability, I can rank it an almost full ten.
Coverage is a limitation, and couldn’t move on anywhere, even in major cities. Apart from that, everything is excellent. The tech support agents are diligent in getting help with the issues you’re facing.
No contract, zero equipment fees, and excellent services are what made me opt for them. So far, I haven’t experienced any major downtime. So, I can recommend it to others without an issue.
The speeds are great, but it comes at a price. $80 per month for a 1.2 Gbps internet plan is higher than most providers out there. However, we will have to stick with Glo as there are no other high-speed connections available in our region.
Glo Fiber Internet Plans & Prices
|Value for money
Glo Fiber offers four plans at separate prices. None includes any data caps or requires you to commit to a contract. These are the most unorthodox plans I have seen and are the costliest in the networking space.

Detailed Review of Glo Fiber: After 1 Month of Use
To put my thoughts, I have analyzed the service over a range of aspects, including speed, coverage, cost vs value, installation, and more to help you make an informed call. So let’s dig into the facts and find out if Glo Fiber is worth it.
Speeds & Performance
“Stream your favorite videos in 4K or download your entire stream without worrying about data charges”- that’s what Glo Fiber says about its plans.
Truly so, with speed caps ranging from 600 Mbps to 5 Gbps, there’s a whole lot you can do. And being a fiber-optic network, upload speeds are no different from downloads, these can become a holy grail for Youtubers.
But speeds work differently in reality, and things might not be as good as they seem on paper. This is why I took its 1.2 Gbps internet plan and tested it across multiple scenarios to devise an opinion. Please note I used the TP-Link Archer AXE75 WiFi 6E router to delve into its full potential.
To start off, I measured the scores with my test device 20 feet away from the source, where download and upload speeds fared at around 1.09 Gbps and 978 Mbps, respectively.
And doubling down the distance, the respective scores maxed out at 735 Mbps and 671 Mbps.
The numbers aren’t ultimate and might alter with the router you choose, but the consistency would remain the same. My online games like Overwatch played out at 9ms ping and 106 FPS with videos streaming on three devices.
Availability or Coverage
Glo Internet isn’t as widespread as other providers like Spectrum, Xfinity, Optimum, AT&T, or Verizon and is accessible in four states, including Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, with 14 cities and 31 zip codes as of now.
The available cities are listed as follows:
You can check if your home is within the coverage of Glo Fiber. If it isn’t available in your area, you can sign up for future updates from the provider on their website.
But despite its limited accessibility, they are diligent with their services and try to keep the customer experience at the maximum.
For that, the evaluating aspect is the uptime, and compared to last year, when I first used the internet, the services have improved massively, and there were one or two instances of network outages within a week.
Things, however, came back to normal within a few hours of reporting the outage. That’s the best I have seen from any provider.
Price vs Value Proposition
The internet plans of Glo Fiber start from $65 per month for 600 Mbps to up to $285 per month for 5 Gbps. That’s costlier than other fiber internet services I have tested so far, but you get the first month of internet for free, which is a unique sight.
As per the provider, there aren’t any hidden charges, fees, or costs, and the installation is completely free as of now. You also aren’t bound to any contract, which means you can cancel the connection whenever you wish to.
But as with most providers, there’s a monthly charge of $10 to cover your entire space with strong wireless signals, irrespective of how many Eero units are needed. That’s a fair deal, especially if you have a large space like me, considering a three-unit Eero pack costs $499 upfront.
Besides, if you are in for both Internet and TV services of Glo Fiber, you are in for a treat. There are bundle discounts when you sign up for multiple services. For example, a $10 off for two and $20 for three services.
Another thing I liked about it is that the provider doesn’t abruptly raise the price of a plan and rather informs you thirty days in advance. Overall, I am contended with the pricing policies the fiber internet services have adopted.
Installation & Setup
The setup is pretty simple and requires only a minor effort from your side. And in my case, the experience thoroughly replicates the statement.
To start with, I called customer service to install the fiber connection, and they made an appointment to visit my space on a stipulated date. You can also visit their website to schedule your installation and place the order.
On the set date, the technicians visit and start with attaching a small utility box either to the outside or inside of your house, whichever is suitable. The fiber cable runs from the main cable on the street to the ONT box in your home.
Keep in mind all of their services (TV or Internet) require the installation of an ONT and an Eero router. It took around an hour to complete the process, and I was ready to access the fast-paced internet.
Glo Fiber Customer Service
The good news? Glo Fiber is doing an exceptional job with the customers as it expands in Pennsylvania in 2021 and launches its super-fast 5 Gbps Fiber internet plan. But from my experience, I feel there still is a work in progress.
Last month, I was working on an important client work at night when the network suddenly blanked out. With customer agents unavailable at that time, I called them the next day in the first hour, but it took them around 3-4 minutes just to pick up my call.
But then the agent who picked up didn’t seem to know much, so transferred the call to his senior, who jotted down my complaint, and within an hour or two, my connection was back online. So overall, my experience with customer service was very mixed.
