At 20 feet away from the extender, my iPhone 13 managed to clock speeds of 147 Mbps and 29 Mbps, respectively, for downloads and uploads. While the 40 feet test yields result at around 121 Mbps down and 19 Mbps up speeds.
No, that’s not a typo. The speeds were actually good, letting me stream 4K content and browse the web on a couple of smartphones, my work laptop, and more.

To track its performance, I paired it with my TP-Link Archer AX90 router and my usual Cox 1 Gbps plan and measured its speeds across several distances.
At 20 feet, the download speed over my iPhone clocks at 134 Mbps, while uploads were valued at 22 Mbps. Whereas, at 45 feet, the device could churn out a maximum of 97 Mbps down and 17 Mbps up.
Despite its higher throughput capacity, the speeds it delivers stay below EAP610-Outdoor. Still, you treat yourself to streaming TV in the backyard. You can even play casual online games around 25-35 feet from the extender.

The devices, including Blink cameras installed/kept in these territories, stayed logged in throughout the day.
Other than that, 24 smart gadgets could pair to the internet to stream high-quality videos, and music, run video calls, and others, with MU-MIMO staying up its task.
I also was able to add up to three devices on “top priority” for them to access the clearer channel and handle high-bandwidth tasks.

The Linksys extender with my Linksys MR9610 router & an 800 Mbps Xfinity connection turned in mixed results in my speed tests.

If you want a future-proof Wi-Fi 6-based extender by compromising a bit on its coverage, then ASUS RP-AX56 should be your go-to pick.
Although with its 2,000+ Sq Ft range, you shouldn’t be much concerned about your Blink camera shutting down. Its throughput capacity and AiMesh support mean there’s a decent spread of signals.

The RP-AX56, with its minimal design, performed decently in my tests and could extend the range over 1,900 Sq Ft. My client’s backyard, where the Blink camera was installed, had robust connectivity, making it a great investment.
Unlike Linksys RE7000, this Asus extender entails AiMesh, so it forms a mesh-like network, and hence speed drops weren’t high as in the former.
Added to it, the MU-MIMO tech works to stabilize signals on up to 29 devices, including laptops, smartphones, computers, etc.

The maximum throughput capacity of RP-AX56 stands at 1800 Mbps with its individual band speeds are as follows:

I tried using this with my Asus RT-AX86U and was able to achieve decent performance with the Xfinity 800 Mbps plan in place. The mesh-like network formed by pairing two AiMesh tech-enabled devices was the reason behind it.
Over a 15 feet distance, the extender managed to churn out speeds of 112 Mbps down and 18 Mbps up. And at 35 feet distance, respective values stayed at around 58 Mbps and 11 Mbps.
I put it under stress test by streaming HD and gaming at a time, but the device managed to get over the line by a margin.

Wavlink AC1200 is an outdoor WiFi booster with a few added advantages over traditional extenders, with its ability to withstand any weather, be it rain, wind, or heatwave. Other than that, its four operational modes make it an interesting choice.

As an outdoor extender, it gets protection from IP65 weatherproofing; hence it’s safe to install it anywhere outside. I had it installed at the threshold, and the signals reached everywhere it was intended to.
Putting it in numbers, an added 1,700 Sq Ft area was filled with signals. Although it comes with a mesh tech, its limited compatibility means most of you, including me, would have to work out with the repeater mode.
And so the signal stabilization aspect over the covered area didn’t come into play. Moving on, it does entail MU-MIMO, allowing me to have over 30 connections at a time. Over a 20 feet distance, the extender managed a speed of 76 Mbps in downloads and 15 Mbps in uploads. In contrast, the respective speeds at 30 feet were 39 Mbps and 8 Mbps.
So aside from keeping your Blink camera active, it lets you attend video calls and stream audio with ease.
Conclusion
Although the Wavlink AC1200 might not exhibit exceptional speed, it possesses the ability to efficiently transmit signals to challenging locations like the garage, attic, basement, and backyard.

This dual-band Wi-Fi 5 extender comes at a theoretical range of 1,500 Sq Ft, which in my tests, paired with my staple Netgear RAX40 turns out at around 1,200 Sq Ft.
Such an additional range and a decent signal strength across the space, despite lacking a mesh tech, allowed me to get the most out of the Blink camera installed at my vestibule.
Now talking about its device capacity, the lack of MU-MIMO does hit the performance. Although I established connections with 16 WiFi devices at once, signal strengths fluctuated over time, which can be inconvenient in certain situations.

Netgear EX5000 comes with a speed rating of AC1200, so the respective speeds on its two frequency bands are as follows:

Despite lacking a mesh tech, the speeds with Netgear RAX40 & Cox 300 Mbps plan weren’t that bad as downloads and uploads continued at a rate of 64 Mbps and 11 Mbps at 15 feet.
At the same time, the 30 feet test had speed output of around 40 Mbps and 7 Mbps. But the best part is I didn’t have to go through any network dropouts or bottlenecks.
So get it installed at your home and keep it safe from any intruders and trespassers by keeping an eye on them through your blink camera every time.
Conclusion
While the Netgear EX5000 may not boast the fastest speeds, it is a reliable device offered at an affordable price. It provides satisfactory coverage and speed for individuals needing a cost-effective extender to expand coverage till Blink cameras.
